The Centre for Theology and Art at the Czech Christian Academy is an interdisciplinary platform for contemporary art, culture and religion. The Centre’s activities focus on organizing lectures and debate meetings, especially with foreign guests, initiating and preparing book editions, publishing in professional and popular journals, and collaborating in liturgical and artistic interventions of contemporary art in sacred space.
CTU was founded in 2006 at the Catholic Theological Faculty of Charles University in Prague, where it was active until September 2024, first at the Department of Theological Ethics and Spiritual Theology, and later at the Department of Systematic Theology and Philosophy.
Since October 2024, CTU operates as a professional section of the Czech Christian Academy.
